Your Partner in Charitable Planning
As a professional advisor, you serve your clients’ philanthropic wishes and often help direct their charitable contributions to worthy organizations to make Pinellas County, and our world, a better place to live and work. Pinellas Community Foundation (PCF) works with planned giving experts like you to put your clients’ donations to good use in a fiscally responsible manner in our community.
Established in 1969, Pinellas Community Foundation is the only charitable foundation of its kind solely dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all Pinellas County residents. PCF works with professional advisors at firms of any size. You can better serve your clients who invest in philanthropic causes, and can benefit from the tax advantages of giving to a community foundation.
You receive personal, customized investment information through the planned giving experts at Pinellas Community Foundation. You and your clients will make a difference by assisting local organizations that provide significant impact in the community.
Strategic Support Through Pinellas Community Foundation
Imagine your clients want to create a legacy for good, whether that involves helping to alleviate childhood hunger or homelessness or providing the greater Pinellas community with opportunities for quality healthcare or education.
With broad expertise in planned giving, an in-depth knowledge of local nonprofits, Pinellas Community Foundation’s staff work with you to help establish impactful and long-term results from your clients’ charitable contributions.
The Funds of Pinellas Community Foundation
Your clients can choose from a breadth of funds, and begin enjoying the tax-saving benefits of their legacy as soon as they establish a fund (or combination of funds). The funds and distributions will reflect their planned giving goals. From homeless shelters to youth and elderly services to cultural education, these charitable dollars build an ongoing resource of support to address the causes and charities your clients care about most.
Various Financial Instruments
Unrestricted Funds allow PCF to select the most currently necessary charities to support the current or future unmet needs in Pinellas. These charitable dollars are directed to worthy organizations carefully vetted through a thoughtful and thorough grant-making process.
Field of Interest Funds allow your clients to name the cause or issue they wish to support. PCF will research local charities that best address a specific cause.
Restricted Funds benefit charities specified by your client, regardless of geographic location. You and your client determine the donation amount and distribution period.
Donor-advised Family Funds provide the flexibility to direct charitable contributions, as they wish when they wish. The PCF Family Fund is an excellent, less-costly and easier to establish, alternative to a private family foundation.
Scholarship Funds underwrite, in perpetuity, scholarships for your client’s school of choice.
Annual Membership of the Pinellas Community Foundation is available at any donation level. Gifts are invested to provide support for a range of credible charities serving Pinellas County.
