Respite Care and More
Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, a Pinellas Community Foundation (PCF) grant recipient, provides respite care for people, like Ted, who are full-time caregivers. Respite care allows caregivers to get out of the house and have some time for themselves, knowing that their loved ones are being cared for at home. Respite care is only part of what AAAPP does, but so much of the burden still falls on the caregiver. Hear from Ted, 78, on how he cares for his 90-year-old Aunt Shirley.
