About Clearwater Free Clinic

Since 1977, the Clearwater Free Clinic has provided problem-oriented health care to low-income uninsured residents of upper Pinellas County by means of office visits, medications, lab work, x-rays, and specialty referrals.

The Clinic, a volunteer-driven nonprofit medical facility, provides primary health care at no cost to those who do not qualify for government assistance and who cannot afford private medical care.

Who We Serve

The majority of our patients are hardworking individuals with limited incomes or low-paying jobs. Their income excludes them from government assistance, yet prevents them from affording private health care or insurance.

Patients receive essential medications and laboratory testing at no cost, ensuring they have access to necessary treatments.

Specialty Referrals

For patients requiring specialized care, we coordinate referrals to trusted specialists in the community.

Community Partnerships

Through collaboration with local hospitals, medical providers, and donors, we extend our reach and enhance the quality of care provided.
