About the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas

The Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas is a nonprofit organization that has been serving seniors and individuals with disabilities in our community since 1974. As the Aging and Disability Resource Center for the two-county area, AAAPP provides a vital entry point for social services and coordinates a network of providers to meet growing needs.

Our Mission

We are a trusted resource that advocates, educates, and empowers seniors, adults with disabilities, and caregivers—promoting independence in partnership with the community.

Our Vision

Our community will provide older adults, people with disabilities, and caregivers with the resources and support they need to live with independence, dignity, and an optimal quality of life.

Strategic Goals

Goal 1: Build Public Awareness of AAAPP

We aim to enhance awareness among target audiences, increasing volunteers, referrals, and understanding of available services.

Goal 2: Increase & Diversify Funding

We are working to grow unrestricted and sustainable funding streams to better respond to emerging community needs.

Goal 3: Recruit & Retain Qualified Staff & Volunteers

We support staff with training, fair compensation, and volunteer involvement to meet growing service demands.

Goal 4: Expand Partnerships for Programs & Services

We continue to address critical needs such as housing, transportation, and home services, with updated approaches and collaborations post-COVID.
