A lifelong St. Petersburg resident, Erica Smith Roodhouse brings deep community roots and a strong sense of purpose to her role as President of the Board of Governors at Pinellas Community Foundation. As a senior attorney at Legacy Protection Lawyers, LLP, Erica’s legal practice centers around estate planning, probate and trust administration, guardianships, and charitable giving. She is passionate about helping individuals and families preserve their unique legacies—and sees PCF as a trusted partner in transforming those legacies into lasting impact.

Erica has long championed causes that support children, including food security, education, and literacy. Her service as a guardian ad litem and volunteer in local schools has deepened her commitment to the youngest and most vulnerable members of the community. She believes investing in the health, education, and well-being of children is essential to creating a more sustainable future for all. Erica is a past president of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Suncoast Estate Planning Council, a recipient of the Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Award, and a former finalist for the St. Petersburg Chamber’s “Woman to Watch” Award. She is also an executive board member of the St. Petersburg Free Clinic and serves on the Board of Trustees at First United Methodist Church. Erica holds a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The College of William and Mary.
