Bette Anthony, CPA
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
“I’ve seen firsthand how deeply this team cares about the changing needs of our community. They are truly a compassionate group.”
Bette Anthony brings more than 30 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and financial operations to her role as Director of Finance at Pinellas Community Foundation. She was drawn to PCF by the opportunity to help build the organization’s finance office from the ground up—and by the leadership of CEO Duggan Cooley, whom she previously worked alongside for six years at Religious Community Services (RCS). Known for her integrity, transparency, and quiet leadership, Bette plays a vital role in supporting PCF’s growth with strong internal controls and reliable financial systems.
Prior to joining PCF, Bette served as Vice President of Accounting and Finance at RCS, where her team earned three consecutive 4-star ratings from Charity Navigator. Her earlier roles include Director of Internal Audit for Golf Hosts, Inc., and Senior Staff Accountant for Harper, Van Scoik & Company. She holds a B.A. from the University of South Florida and an A.A. from Manatee Junior College. A lifelong nature enthusiast and avid birdwatcher, Bette is especially moved by PCF’s work to preserve green spaces in Pinellas County and support the long-term sustainability of local nonprofits.
