About Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay is dedicated to creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Our vision is that all youth achieve their full potential.

We empower every young person on the path to graduate high school with a plan for their future and a mentor whose impact will last a lifetime. Our programs are designed to support and supplement these mentoring relationships, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to succeed.

Our Programs

We offer various programs to meet the diverse needs of our community:

Community-Based Mentoring

In this program, volunteers (Bigs) are matched with children (Littles) and spend time together in the community, participating in activities they both enjoy. This fosters a strong bond and provides the Little with a positive role model.

Site-Based Mentoring

Volunteers meet with their Littles at a designated site, such as a school or community center, for one hour each week. These sessions focus on academic support, socialization, and personal development.

Big Futures

This initiative supports Littles as they transition from high school to higher education or the workforce, providing guidance and resources to help them achieve their goals.
