In South St. Petersburg, Twanna Monroe saw a need—and took action. As a longtime educator, she watched too many students struggle due to a lack of early childhood development opportunities. Determined to change the trajectory for young learners in her community, Monroe founded Infinite Potential Learning Center (IPLC) in 2010.

Her vision was simple yet powerful: give underserved children the strong start they deserve. From infancy through age five, IPLC provided a space where children could develop foundational skills, preparing them for success in kindergarten and beyond.

Expanding the Vision: Infinite Potential Learning Academy

Over the years, something remarkable happened. The children graduating from IPLC entered kindergarten far ahead of their peers—so much so that many quickly became disengaged in traditional classrooms.

Recognizing the need for continued academic challenge and emotional support, Monroe took another bold step. On August 10, 2022, she opened Infinite Potential Learning Academy (IPLA)—a Black-owned and operated private school serving children ages 3 to 12.

IPLA’s mission is about more than academics. Monroe and her team provide mentorship, emotional resilience training, and a nurturing environment where students can thrive. And the results speak for themselves—students who once struggled with self-confidence and academic performance are now excelling.

The SOW Fund at PCF: Investing in Community Growth

Every great vision needs support. That’s where the SOW Fund at Pinellas Community Foundation (PCF) comes in. Created to support grassroots organizations dedicated to uplifting communities, the SOW Fund helps programs like IPLA grow and flourish.

Pinellas Community Foundation giving grants

Recently, IPLA received a $15,000 grant from the SOW Fund at PCF to enhance its outdoor play areas, providing students with new playground equipment and shaded pavilions to enjoy. These improvements are about more than playtime—they create a safe and stimulating environment where children can build social skills, relieve stress, and continue their development outside the classroom.

Why the SOW Fund Matters

The SOW Fund at PCF is more than a grant program—it’s a commitment to investing in grassroots initiatives that create real change in Pinellas County. From education to community development, the fund ensures that local leaders like Monroe have the resources they need to empower the next generation.

By supporting organizations like IPLA, the SOW Fund is planting seeds of opportunity that will continue to grow for years to come.
